Owner builder Matt Johnson and wife Katie knew what they wanted from the start… a natural looking grey brick that would compliment the vertical cedar and settle in to it’s big decks and rural environment.  With samples produced, a blend of three different coloured glazes and a blend of two different textures was chosen.  Having a mix  of smooth faced bricks with the wirecut takes the blend up another notch, playing with light, shade and texture all at once, giving the final aesthetic a nearly stone like appearance. This blend from CCB and a stunning lay by the team at Devlin Brick and Block has created a beautiful marriage between the brick and cedar, to really make this lovely family home, also piece of art.
