One One Two Park Terrace

A project designed beautifully

On a busy street corner, opposite a lively park, sits a quietly, different home.  It stands out for all the right reasons.  A sculpture, made of mellow timber and natural kiln fired clay bricks, is a piece of art down the street.  The off-white, curving brick mass seems to hover, like a cloud, as the warm timber ground floor, melds away before your eyes.  Utilising screening, with the bricks and the timber, Common have played well with the need for privacy versus views and light for their client.  Creating lovely dappled light inside from sunlight and water reflections.  The custom-made King 290x68x70 brick, also brings a more linear, layered look, than a standard size brick.  Slayney Masonry showing their artisanal skills with the beautiful curved walls and technical screens.
